Parsonage rents, (d) Missionary appropriations, and (e) total received by pastor. (5) That a committee of
four be appointed to audit the pastor’s report, said committee to report to the Conference the name of the
charge that has rendered a full report, as well as those that show a deficit in any item, and that their
report be printed in our published Minutes. (6) That the Conference order the payment of all
beneficiaries every 3 months in harmony with recommendations. (7) That we continue the freewill
offering plan, for general Church Erection, the offering to be received as near Easter as most convenient.
(8) That we memorialize the General Conference, through our representatives in that body, to set aside
at least $5,000 annually, out of the profits of the Publishing House, for the support of our superannuated
itinerants. All of which is must humbly submitted in His name. W. F. Gruver, Conference
Superintendent.
Boundaries (pp. 33-34). The Boundary and Finance Committee met and organized by electing
A. J. Secrist as Secretary. The following resolutions were passed:
1. That the District remain as it is.
2. Detach Belmont from Augusta circuit and attach to Staunton.
3. Detach Mt. Zion from Winchester circuit and attach to Toms Brook.
4. The name of Lost River circuit be changed to Hardy.
5. Detach Mt. Bethel and Shendun from East Rockingham circuit and attach to Elkton circuit.
6. That the column for Home Missions be headed General Home Missions.
7. Make separate columns for Conference Home Missions and Conference Church Extension,
and add 50 percent, to Conference Church Extension. All other assessments remain as last year.
8. That we recommend the election of one treasurer to receive all Conference assessments.
9. That A. B. Wilson be elected treasurer.
10. That the salary of the Presiding Elder be the same as last year, and that he be paid monthly.
11. That the freewill Easter offering be continued for general church erection.
12. The deficit on The Conference News be paid out of the Sustentation Fund.
13. That the Bishop’s salary be paid by the treasurer of the Administration and Sustentation
Funds.
14. The pastors be instructed to send all moneys on conference assessments to the general
treasurer, and that the treasurer apportion the same. Also that the pastors make quarterly settlement with
the treasurer, and that final settlement be made 10 days before Annual Conference.
15. The treasurer of the Administration Fund pay L. O. Miller the money collected for general
conference expenses.
16. That $50 be paid the pastor of the Winchester circuit out of the Home Mission Treasury.
17. That an offering be taken on Sunday morning for Conference Home Missions, and in view
of this the pastors will be excused from paying the one-half of one percent of their salary as required by
the Sustentation Constitution.
