New Churches. A splendid new church is being built in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and will be

finished and ready for dedication in the early summer. This church when completed will cost $6,000. It

is modern in design and built of concrete blocks, and when finished will be the best church house

between Martinsburg and Cumberland. A new, large and modern church is in process of construction in

the city of Roanoke, Va. This church will cost $11,000. It will possibly be the most convenient and

inviting house of worship in the Conference. It will be ready for occupancy about the first of June.

Church Improvements.

 Augusta Circuit: Pleasant Grove church—Put in a new organ at a cost of $44.
 Bayard Circuit: Bayard—New circular pews have been ordered for the church.

 Cumberland Mission Station: Carpet, $57; organ, $68; chairs; $40; paid.
 Dayton Charge. Dayton—Paid $200 on their church debt. Mt. Horeb—A new lot, $35; and

church improved, cost, $60. Ottobine church, new lights and other repairs, $20.
 Edinburg Circuit: Edinburg Church—New roof, new paper, etc., $110. Otterbein Church—

Weatherboarded, painted, etc., cost $69.43.
 Franklin Circuit: Mt. Horeb—Improved, cost $63. Parsonage—Improved, cost $75.
 Frederick Circuit: Sunrise—New carpet, $33.88. Ridings chapel—Foundation for new church at

has been laid and the contract let, which will cost when completed $2,000.
 Inwood Circuit: Inwood church—Papered, cost, $20; and individual communion set, $15. Mt.

Pleasant—Individual communion set, $15.
 Jones Spring Circuit: Providence Chapel—About $80 secured to repair church. Sleepy Creek—

Reopened by Rev. A. J. Secrist, and debt reduced to $75. Staters Chapel—New organ, $35.
 Lacey Springs circuit: Lacey Springs church—Roof repaired, cost, $8.75. Herwin Chapel—

Expended on fence around the chapel, $12.
 Lost River circuit: Baker’s Run Church—Painted, cost, $17. Garrett’s Chapel—new roof, cost,

$37.60. Sperry’s Run—New organ, $45.
 Pendleton circuit: Parsonage—New fence around the parsonage, $28.
 Pleasant Valley circuit: Mt. Sinai church—New carpet, painted inside, and new stone steps, $75.
 Rockbridge circuit: Clay Hill church—New organ, the gift of Mr. James Cross.
 Shenandoah circuit: Grove Hill—New organ, $75. Trinity church—New organ, $45.
 South Branch circuit. Keyser—Debt on church reduced to $1,300. Lahmansville , organ, $60.

Mt. Carmel—New carpet, $46. Mt. Olive—New carpet and chairs, $44.75. Mt. Hebron—Fence,
$40.
 Winchester circuit: Fairview church—Repaired and reopened by Dr. W. O. Fries, cost, $175.
Pleasant Valley—New organ, $50.

New Parsonages. The old parsonage, located at East Point, on Elkton circuit, was sold early in

the year, and a new and convenient parsonage built at Elkton; cost, about, $1,100; all paid for, except

$230. Harrisonburg station is building the most modern and up-to-date parsonage in the Conference. It

is built of concrete blocks and is a credit to the church. It will cost, when finished, $3,250. Martinsburg

paid $390.45 on their parsonage debt. West Frederick circuit painted her parsonage at a cost of $54.68.

and reduced the debt $53. Edinburg bought an adjoining lot, cost, $265. Lacey Springs repainted and

papered parsonage, cost, $80. South Branch, furnishings, $20. Inwood, furniture, $90. Lost River; new

fence around yard, garden and lot, cost, $30. Pleasant Valley, painting, etc., $30. Shenandoah, painted

and otherwise improved, and the debt reduced. Parsonage at Elk Garden, on Bayard circuit, new steel

roof and nicely painted at a cost of $75. The parsonage in Edinburg, Va., papered, painted, etc., $27.
