Lebanon Valley College, and will continue our interest and aid in the dissemination of education

give to it a share in our prayers and practical efforts. Respectfully submitted, J. W. Funk
Visiting Committee to Shenandoah Seminary (p. 12). I visited Shenandoah Seminary during
commencement week of last year. Found quite a number of young men and ladies there pursuing
studies of interest and profit. The examinations were satisfactory, showing a result of hard work upon
the part of students and teachers. The public entertainments were largely attended, and were marked
with interest and profit. Respectfully submitted, J. R. Ridenour, for the Committee. “Professor Zuck is
doing good work at the head of the school, and many young persons are being enlisted in the securing of
an education. It is under the proprietorship of Rev. A. P. Funkhouser, a young man of noble character
and public Christian enterprise.”62
