resignation was that of Rev. William Hesse, who was appointed to Bloomery Circuit; Rev. G. B.
Fadeley was appointed to fill the vacancy—he immediately entered upon the work and has labored
faithfully and successfully to the close of the year.
Rev. George Harmon was not able to travel North Fork Mission. Rev. W. D. Barger was
appointed to take his place, and has done a good work. Owing to affliction, Bro. Donovan was unable to
fill his pulpit for about half of the year, yet he lost no interest in the work, and his greatest grief was that
he could not lead more souls to Christ. Rev. S. Scott took charge of Petersburg Circuit, and did well, as
his report will show. Three houses of worship have been completed and dedicated since the last
Conference. Plans are being projected to build four more during the coming year.
Boundaries. Your Committee on Boundaries report:
1. That the Districts remain as they were, except that Berkeley Circuit be detached from [South
Branch District and attached to Potomac District.
2. That Morgan Circuit be dissolved, and that Sleepy Creek appointment be attached to
(Berkeley Mission, to be called Berkeley Circuit.
3 That Otterbein, Mt. Pleasant and Capon be attached to Berkeley Springs Circuit.
4. Detach Hampshire Mines, appointment from Westernport Station and attach to Elk Garden
Circuit. Take Mt. Zion, Miller’s, Buskirk, and Lonaconing appointments and constitute Lonaconing

Circuit.
6. Constitute Westernport Mission Station Westernport Station.
7. Detach Deep Creek and North Glade appointments from Alleghany Circuit and attach to
Garrett Mission, to be called Garrett Circuit.
8. That Alleghany Circuit be called Deer Park Mission.
9. Detach Hartmansville appointment from New Creek Circuit and attach to Elk Garden
Circuit.
10. Attach Petersburg Circuit to North Fork Mission.
11. Detach Mt. Horeb appointment from North Fork Mission and attach to Franklin Circuit.
12. Detach Schwope’s appointment from Myersville Circuit and attach to Hagerstown Circuit.
13. That Clarke Mission be dissolved, and that Zoar and Friendship be constituted
Vancleavesville Circuit.
14. That Red Bud be attached to Front Royal Mission.
15. That Edinburg Circuit and Toms Brook Mission be reunited and called Edinburg Circuit,
subject to the discretion of the Stationing Committee.
16. Detach Pleasant Grove and Breneman’s from Augusta Circuit and Whitesel’s from Dayton
and attach to South River Mission. Detach Belmont from South River Mission and attach to Augusta
Circuit. That South River Mission be called Cross Keys Circuit.
17. That Tye River appointment be attached to Rockbridge Circuit.
18. That Deer Park Mission include Oakland appointment, with the consent of the Parkersburg
