4. That $1,050 be assessed for general Home mission work and that 50 percent be given to the
general Home mission board and 50 percent to the local Home mission board.
5. That the money assessed for sustentation be used for that work only.
6. That we assess $1,000 for general benevolences, to be divided as follows: (a) Preachers’ aid,
35 percent; (b) Shenandoah Institute, 34 percent; (c) Laymen’s benefit fund, 13 percent; (d) U.B.
Seminary, 9 percent; (e) Educational aid, 5 percent; and (f) General Sunday school fund, 4 percent.
7. That general church erection be placed on the freewill offering list.
8. That the district remain as it now is.
9. That the presiding elder’s salary be $1,200.
10. That all appropriations to missionary places be referred to the missionary board.
11. That the presiding elder’s salary be paid monthly, and if necessary the treasurer borrow the
money to pay it.
12. That the assessment for administration purposes go into the hands of the present treasurer,
A. B. Wilson.
13. That $200 be assessed for publication fund in getting out the Conference Minutes.
14. That we give to Staunton and Roanoke $500 each, provided they raise a like amount.
15. That the Conference grant the pastors of South Cumberland, Staunton, and Roanoke the
privilege of traveling the Conference in the interest of their churches.
16. Dayton be detached from Dayton circuit [becomes a Station church].
17. Mt. Hebron and Swift Run be detached from Elkton circuit.
18. Thoroughfare be detached from Shenandoah City.
19. These three appointments be attached to Albemarle circuit, which shall be known as East
Rockingham circuit.
20. Roanoke circuit be discontinued.
21. Winchester and Red Bud be made a station.
22. Detach Sunrise from Frederick and attach to Toms Brook.
23. Detach Mt. Zion from Frederick and attach to Winchester circuit.
24. Detach Bethel from Toms Brook and attach to Frederick.
25. Detach Mt. Olive and Mt. Pleasant from West Frederick and attach to Winchester circuit.
