7. Attach Midland to Westernport Station.

It is recommended that a free-will offering be taken for the district parsonages, under the
direction of the presiding elders. The assessments on conference collections remain as they are, except
when changes have been made and the presiding elders salary, which committed to G. P. Hott, C. W.
Siever and F. M. Smith, as a committee. $500 appropriated to Keyser, W.Va.; $75 appropriated to
Harrisonburg, Va.; $150 to Westernport; and $100 to Prince William with the understanding that an
additional $50 be added if necessary.

The presiding elder of Shenandoah district be authorized to take special charge of the work near
Charlottesville and draw on the Missionary Treasury to pay expenses in supplying a man to hold
meetings. Roanoke Second Church referred to Stationing Committee. The appropriations to
Westernport and Prince William are to be paid from the Conference Mission Fund.

In view of the growing demands upon this Conference for larger amounts of money to protect
and maintain the Church in needy and new fields, and our failure, after repeated efforts, to get sufficient
outside help, therefore be it, Resolved, That each pastor in charge of a field of labor be required to
present the vital interest of local church extension to each congregation on his charge, and take a special
offering for this work; and that all such money be sent at once to the Conference Missionary Treasurer,
under the control of the missionary society. Respectfully submitted, A. P. Funkhouser, Sec.
