Stained Glass Windows in the Churches of Harrisonburg
First Presbyterian Church
Palmer Window
This large five paneled window with glass set in a perpendicular style pattern of tracery is at balcony level
in the west wall. A large body of water appears in a beautiful setting. The presence of lilies, the fleur-de-lis
and the trefoil shape is reference to purity and to the trinity.
The lower panels are obstructed at the bottom by the balcony. Three of the primary panels are on the
following page.
