CemeteryBowman-Whitmer Family Cemetery
LocationMt. Clinton area, Rockingham County, Virginia. From Harrisonburg, Virginia, take Route 33 West and go 7.3 miles and turn right onto Route 613 (Whitmore Shop Road). Go 1.8 miles and turn left onto Route 762 (Eden Valley Road). Then go 9/10ths mile and take Paradise Lane (dirt lane). Go up the lane and when you reach the Y in the road stay to the right. Cemetery is located in a field behind the Richard Showalter home at 2870 Paradise Lane. Need premission to visit cemetery.
NotesNo fence around cemetery and not well maintained. Numerous graves were moved to Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In 1967, Robert Swank noted: "Probably as many graves unmarked as we have listed."
