Albert was the oldest child of Jacob Addison Armentrout's 2nd mar., born in 1858. He was bapt. at Pk. Mtn. Ch., 30 Oct
1858, by Rev Lawrence Hensel of the Ref. Ch. congregation and H Wetzel was his sponsor.1 The 1870 cen. rec. list Albert as
a boy of 13 years.2 He was a farmer and a landowner but his mar. application gives his occupation as engineer. Albert and
Emma Jane Carpenter were mar. by Rev I Condor and 5 children were born to this union. He and his family were members of
the Ref. Ch. Albert died in 1921 at the age of 63 and his wife Emma died in 1945 as she neared 87. Both were buried in Mt.
Olivet Cem., McGaheysville, Va.3 nfd

Leanna C was born at Island Ford, Va., in 1883. She and George W Layne were mar. in 1905 by Rev AT Wright. Seven
children were born to this union. They lived in the village of Crozier, Va., about 15 miles west of Richmond, as all of their
children were born there. In later life they lived in Richmond where both died, George in 1933, and Leanna in 1950. Both
