Report of the Conference Superintendent (p. 5). Our own school, Shenandoah Collegiate
Institute and School of Music, is having the best year in its history. The present facilities are greatly
inadequate to the needs and demands of the School. The present indebtedness should be provided for
within the next few months, and new and enlarged facilities planned for. This Conference should fix a
time for a concerted action upon the part of the board of trustees, faculty of the School, ministers, and
membership of the Church to accomplish this important work. It can be done. Let everyone say,
“Amen.” W. F. Gruver
Excerpts of the Report of the Committee on Education (p. 25-27). …Resolved, (1) That we
heartily cooperate with Shenandoah Collegiate Institute and School of Music in any effort to increase
her efficiency and relieve her indebtedness. (2) That we will bring the cause of education before our
people, enlisting their sympathy and cooperation in the educational work of church. (3) That we will
earnestly support the educational beneficiary fund for the training of worthy young men and women in
our colleges and seminaries, and that we will do our best to raise the amount assessed to our charges.
(4) That we enthusiastically support Union Biblical Seminary, which is doing so nobly in training young
men and women for greater usefulness in the ministry at home and for valiant service in the missionary
fields abroad. A. B. Wilson.
Other Business—Charter of Shenandoah Collegiate Institute and School of Music (pp. 31-
32). The matter of a new charter for Shenandoah Collegiate Institute and School of Music was

1902, the name of said corporation was changed to “Shenandoah Collegiate Institute and School of
