Weaver’s (Weaner’s)* Church.
Five miles west of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Route #4.

The land on which this church was built came from the Samuel Weaver Grant of 1763.
Samuel Weaver donated the land, which this church is built on in 1827.
The first Church supposed to be built in 1822 was constructed of hewn logs. It was replaced by the present frame structure in 1880.

Weaver’s Church the big white edifice was founded in 1827, by members of the Mennonite faith from Pennsylvania, who came to Rockingham County in the German migration following the close of the French and Indian War in 1763.
