Myers Mill.
7 miles northwest of Harrisonburg, Virginia, on Singers Glenn Road.
About 1763.
1763, owned by John W. Suter and was held in possession of his heirs until the year 1870, when it was sold to W.H. Myers. He held possession until his death in 1937, and it became the property of his wife, Mrs. W.H. Myers.
Interior is plain, what you may expect to find in any old mill. The exterior is plain weather-boarded and has a home wooden water wheel that furnishes the power. Also, they use a gasoline engine for power. It has been remodeled in the past years, but has not spoiled the old appearance so much.
This mill ground feed and flour for the pioneer settlers. And it is said that Stonewall Jackson and a few of his men spent several nights in this mill.
