  8. Owned by Colonel Armstrong, then by Widow Brown, daughter-in-law, and now by Mrs. Henry Marsh, niece of the widow Brown.

  11. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:
  12. Colonel Armstrong killed his neighbor, _________Shank, in front of his home. This was during the War Between the States. There was a "mock trial" and Armstrong received a very light punishment.
