The present owner is a stepmother of Mrs. Lydia Chambers, who is no a resident of our city. The owner is a very old lady and lives in some part of Indiana.
This is an abandoned, partially tumbled down shack, yet is associated with the early town history.
This house is near the banks of North River. It withstood the ravages of the great floods of 1870-1877, and the recent spring flood of 1937. Then it was occupied, but now is abandoned.
