  2. The interior is of old time design, with mantels and fireplaces. It is built of stone with hipped roof and was remodeled about 1925 by the present owner.

  3. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:
  4. Stonewall Jackson is said to have stopped here. It was used as a stone fort during the War Between the States and the white man used it for protection from the Indians.
