Forks of North and Dry River, northeast of Bridgewater, Virginia.
About 1836-1840.
Ad. Smals built the house prior to the War Between the States, and lived there until about 1900. Since then the property changed hands several times and Granville Koogler is the present owner.

There is no special historical association. This house withstood the ravages of the War when Sheridan’s forces raided the Valley.
