The
Shenandoah Valley Watercolor Society
will exhibit original works of art at the 2001 Holiday Harvest of Art.
The SVWS is a local arts organization with sixty members who paint or
have a strong interest in watercolor. In addition to aqueous media, artists
may choose to display sculpture, drawings or alternative painting medium
such as oil or acrylic.
The
opening reception is planned for November 8, 200` from 6 to 8 pm in the
Heritage Center’s changing exhibit gallery. The public is welcome and
many artists will be present. A "People's Choice Award" will be given
at the close of the show to the piece most popular with viewers. Admission
to this exhibit is free and many pieces are available for purchase. The
exhibit extends until the Heritage Center closes for Christmas.
