Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society History and Organizational Mission
The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society was founded in 1898. Its membership is made up of approximately 1,100 individuals and families located throughout the United States, but predominatly in the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.The Shenandoah Valley Folk Art & Heritage Center is owned and operated by the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society as one of several areas of activity devoted to the preservation of the historical heritage of the Shenandoah Valley.
